Great Britain para track cyclist, Paralympic silver medallist and three-time world champion.
The injury
As a teenager Blaine sustained trauma to his right leg during routine knee surgery: the surgeon's drill slipped and severed his popliteal artery. Following the trauma he developed complications that were not handled correctly, resulting in nerve damage.
Nerve damage, along with a limited range of motion in the ankle joint, means Blaine is eligible to compete as a para cyclist.

Blaine joined the Great Britain Cycling Team in March 2021.
